CURRICULUM

Early Years

We aim to offer, a rich, stimulating, safe environment in which experiences relevant to the individual child's development are presented naturally through exploration, investigation and play.

In an atmosphere of Christian values, children learn kindness, consideration, cooperation and tolerance. Our Early Years curriculum aims to encourage self-expression, independence and an enthusiasm for learning, providing solid building blocks for further learning.

The curriculum is based on the DfES document 'Desirable Outcomes' and we plan and assess the 6 areas of learning:

1. Personal & Social Development                                                                                                                                                2. Language, Literacy & Communication                                                                                                                                             3. Mathematical Development                                                                                                                                                 4. Information and Communication Technology

Pupils have a high level of access to IT resources. The twinned nature of the school allows sharing of lessons across sites through video conferencing.
