Children
have to learn Welsh
The teaching language of the school for all
subjects and activities is English. As
the school is in Wales, pupils do learn Welsh as a second language as part of
the National Curriculum. Well founded research has shown that learning any
second language stimulates intellectual development and children who have
experienced the process of second language learning in the early years establish
the skills and confidence to support the learning of other modern languages at
secondary school level. We consider this to be a significant advantage.
